Thiruvananthapuram, Saturday 23 January 2009: In an alleged suicide attempt, a woman threw her two children into a well before jumping herself at Eezhakode in the Malayinkeezhu police station limits.

The woman identified as Sajitha (26), wife of Gireesh, jumped into the well with her 2 year old son Sajeesh and 1 year old daughter Greeshma.

The police and the fire force personnel, who reached the spot after informed by the local people, were able to rescue only the woman. She has been shifted to the medical college hospital. Sources said family problems forced her to take this extreme step.
