Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday, October 11, 2009: Youth congress president M Liju had suggested the names of youth congress leaders T Siddique and KP Sreekumar as candidates in the upcoming bypolls.

M Liju had conveyed the demands of the youth wing through a letter in which he had nominated T Siddique in Kannur and KP Sreekumar in Alappuzha. T Siddique had been the former youth congress president. Youth should be given priority and chances, the letter recommended.

The letter came soon after sending fax message to AICC president Sonia Gandhi objecting party’s move to select AP Abdullakutty as candidate. Youth congress members have demanded to decide on former youth congress president T Siddique as the election candidate for Kannur bypolls. Around twelve members of youth congress has been part of sending the fax.
