Kollam, Friday 19 March 2010: The stage is set for the conduct of the three-day State conference of the Kerala Pradesh Youth Congress in Kollam from today.

As far as State president M. Liju is concerned, the State conference is an opportunity to showcase his leadership skills after having been elected to the post through Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi’s special recruitment drive. The conference is being staged amid speculation that the organisation might go in for elections for reconstituting the State leadership.

The attempts of the current leadership have, however, run into rough weather with a section of the Youth Congress leaders protesting against the way the conference is being organised.
