Earlier India have been bundled out for 149 runs in the fifth and final ODI against New Zealand. Some irresponsible shots and poor judgements have left India staring at a hole . Rohit Sharma was left unbeaten on 43 while Zaheer Khan also perished to a run out. Praveen Kumar and Ishant Sharma were cleaned up by Iain O’Brien.
India lost their seventh wicket when Harbhajan Singh failed to make his ground off a Daniel Vettori throw.
Jesse Ryder has jolted the Indian batting order, sending back skipper MS Dhoni and Yusuf Pathan in the same over.
Yuvraj Singh perished to a Jesse Ryder delivery in an attempt to up the ante after a long period of lull in the middle.
Yuvraj’s dismissal came after Kiwi pacers rattled the Indian top order by snapping three quick wickets with 69 runs on the board in 12 overs.
Jacob Oram got the prized wicket of Virender Sehwag when the opener tried to pull across thee line but edged it over backward point for Brendon McCullum to take the catch. Sehwag romped to 40 off 27 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 3 fours before his dismissal.
