Milestone man Sachin Tendulkar re-wrote the record books today, hammering the fifth double Test century to add another feather to his well-adorned cap.Helped by Tendulkar-Raina’s special, India managed to take a 27-run lead at stumps on Day 4 of Colombo Test. With only 13-wkts down and over 1300 runs scored so far, the result of the match is a foregone conclusion.

Lanka heaved a sigh of relief as Tilakaratne Dilshan got rid off double centurion Sachin Tendulkar and then sent back Harbhajan Singh for a duck, moments after the post tea play resumed.

It was usual scene as Sachin Tendulkar raised his arm and thanked the almighty after completing his fifth double century of his career in the Colombo Test. At tea, India were 589 for five.

Sachin Tendulkar stood like a wall and was nearing yet another milestone as Lankan bowlers found going tough in the middle despite the fall of Suresh Raina as India fought-back strongly.

Ajantha Mendis got Sri Lanka the much needed breakthrough when he got rid off centurion Suresh Raina(120 runs) as India lost its fifth wicket. MS Dhoni has now joined Sachin Tendulkar at the crease.

What a special innings it has been from Suresh Raina. Along with Tendulkar, Raina took India to relative safety as the visitors scored 477/4 at lunch.

Suresh Raina and Sachin Tendulkar both reached huge personal milestones to add strength to the Indian comeback on the fourth morning of the second Test against Sri Lanka at Colombo.

Raina marked his first Test innings with a classy century, becoming only the ninth Indian to achieve that feat on debut, while Tendulkar - not out on 152 - marked his highest individual score against Sri Lanka and broke Don Bradman’s record of 18 150-plus scores in Tests, as the visitors ended the first session at 477 for four.

With Tendulkar having reached his century before stumps on day three, it was Raina who provided most of the fireworks with his strokeplay, notching up 112 off 213 deliveries as the Indians left the field trailing the hosts’ 642-run first innings total by 165.

Resuming on 382 for four, Tendulkar and Raina were off to a positive start, taking 13 runs off only the third over of the day - that included a huge six over long-off by Raina.

Even though spinner Suraj Randiv and paceman Dilhara Fernando tried putting together a tight attack, Raina cut loose on the latter to smash another six as triple figures beckoned for the test debutant.

And Raina capped off an incredible debut with some flamboyance, smashing Dammika Prasad for a boundary to bring up his maiden Test century and the 200-run partnership.
