Sri Lanka Win By 48 runs

Sri Lanka make it to the semifinals of the ICC World T20 championship after beating New Zealand comfortably by 48 runs.Sri Lanka lose Sanath Jayasuriya in the very first over after electing to bat against New Zealand in their Super Eight match at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Tuesday.The good news for New Zealand is that both Brendon McCullum and Ross Taylor have been declared fit to play this match.

McCullum has torn ligaments in the little finger on his left hand, an injury suffered when he collided with team-mate Neil Broom, off the last ball of the match New Zealand lost to Pakistan at The Oval on Saturday.

Sri Lanka have made one change to their side, bringing in Isuru Udana in place of Nuwan Kulasekara

The winner of this match will almost certainly progress to a semi-final at their opponents’ expense.
