In the present times, when dust and pollution abound in the atmosphere, exfoliation has becomes very important for maintaining the softness of your skin. It helps the body get rid of dead skin cells and leaves it looking fresh and supple. Exfoliated skin not only retains the moisture effectively, but also absorbs the nutrients and minerals, applied externally, well. While there are lots of exfoliating scrubs available in the market, they cannot surpass the benefits of a homemade one, which is much more reasonable as well.
Salt Scrub:
Ingredients
* 1/2 cup Oil (sweet almond/ grapeseed/ rice bran oil)
* 1 cup Sea Salt
* 5 drops Essential Oil (lavender/ lemongrass/ rosemary)
Instructions
* Take a bowl and put oil and salt in it. Mix well.
* Add essential oil to the oil-salt mixture and combine.
* Your salt scrub is ready. Use it, in circular strokes, to exfoliate your skin.
* Follow with a warm water bath.
Sugar Scrub:
Ingredients
* 1 cup Brown Sugar
* 1/4 cup Oil (olive/ almond)
* 5 drops Essential Oil (lavender/ lemongrass/ rosemary)
Instructions
* Take a bowl and put one cup of brown sugar in it.
* Add 1/4 cup oil and mix well.
* To make the scrub scented, add a few drops of an essential oil and blend well.
* Your sugar scrub is ready.
* Use the scrub to exfoliate dead skin and follow it with a shower.
Coffee Scrub:
Ingredients
* 4 oz Coffee, finely ground
* 2 tbsp Spa Facial Clay
* 2 tsp Water
* Few Drops of Scented Extract (chocolate/ vanilla/ orange/ lemon/ almond)
Instructions
* Take a bowl and put the ground coffee in it.
* Add spa facial clay, along with water, and mix well.
* Stir in a few drops of the extract, for scent.
* Your coffee scrub is ready.
* Use the scrub to exfoliate your body, avoiding the face and neck.
