Ingredients:
4 - medium sized violet brinjals
2 tsp - ginger garlic paste
2 tsp - red chilli powder or to taste
A pinch of turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp - oil for frying
Method :
1. Wash and slice the brinjals into round shapes.
2. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt to the ginger garlic paste.
3. On each of the slices, smear a little of the paste on both sides.
4. Take care that it is a very thin layer of paste and that both sides are well coated.
5. Heat oil in a pan or a non-stick tawa and arrange these pieces around the tawa.
6. Shallow fry these pieces. Note that this is not to be deep friend like `bajji`; rather shallow fry with a little oil only.
7. Cook till both sides are done, turning over frequently.
8. Remove from pan and drain the excess oil if any on a tissue paper.
