Moisturizer normally makes the skin smooth, clean and soft. The role of moisturizer becomes significant during winter when dry, itchy and scaly skin worries you a lot. You get frustrated when none of the moisturizing lotions you apply on your skin offer any relief. And your friends and relatives start advising you about other alternatives. Just don’t mind these inputs and try some homemade moisturizers which hardly need any skill to prepare and carry no side effects.
Jasmine Moisture Cream
- Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons emulsifying wax
- 2 tablespoons almond or sunflower oil
- 1 teaspoon lanolin
- 1/2 teaspoon borax
- 1 teaspoon witch-hazel
- 11/2 teaspoons glyerine
- 8 tablespoons water, and a few drops of jasmin oil
Directions:
Melt the wax, oil and lanolin together over a water bath. In a separate bowl heat water, glycerine and borax. Make sure the borax is completely dissolved, then add witch-hazel. Slowly add water to the oils, and stir constantly until cool.
Coca Butter Cream
- Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons cocoa butter
- 2 tablespoons emulsifying wax
- 1 tablespoon beeswax
- 4 tablespoons sesame oil, and
- 1 tablespoon almond oil
Directions:
Heat the following ingredients together over a water bath, stirring them thoroughly: When the ingredients are completely melted, remove from the heat and stir until the cream is cool. Add a few drops of perfume while stirring. this cream leaves the skin smooth without being greasy.
Elder Flower Cream
Directions:
Mix together 3 tablespoons almond oil, 4 tablespoons elder flower blossoms and 1 tablespoon lanolin in a bowl over a water bath. Let it simmer together for an hour, strain, and then add warm water slowly.
