Lip gloss is a product used primarily to give lips a mildly glossy lustre and sometimes subtle color. It is distributed as a liquid or a soft solid (not to be confused with lip balm, which generally has medicinal purposes). It can be completely clear, translucent, or various shades of opacity, including frosted, glittered, glassy, and metallic finishes.

Homemade Flavored Lip Gloss

• Cocoa Gloss

You Will Need

• * 8 tbsp Beeswax

• * 1/2 cup and 4 tbsp Almond Oil

• * 2 tsp Honey

• * 1 tsp Vitamin E Oil

• * 1 tsp Cocoa Butter

Instructions

• * Start off by heating a large container on a gentle flame. Melt the beeswax in the container. Make sure that this is done on a low heat.

• * Pour in the Vitamin E oil and the almond oil. Also, add the cocoa butter and stir.

• * Take the container off the heat. Add the honey to the container and stir. Allow the mixture to cool before pouring it into smaller containers that should be perfect for storing lip-gloss.

Lemon Gloss

You Will Need

• * 3 drops Lemon Flavor Oil

• * 1/2 tsp Beeswax

• * 1 tbsp Petroleum Jelly

Instructions

• * Get yourself a container. Heat the container over a low flame and melt the beeswax in the same.

• * Add the petroleum jelly to the container and stir well. Do this until the ingredients have melted thoroughly.

• * Take the container off the heat, add the lemon oil, and blend it well. Allow to cool before pouring it into a lip-gloss sized container. Your lip-gloss is ready!

Fruit Gloss

You Will Need

• * 4 tsp Petroleum Jelly

• * 4 tsp Fruit Juice (citrus fruits only
• * 4 tsp Vanilla Extract
• Instructions
  • * Add the petroleum jelly to a microwaveable bowl and microwave for 20 seconds or until the jelly melts. Stir the jelly with a spoon.
  • * Proceed to add the fruit juice and vanilla extract to the petroleum jelly mixture and mix.
  • * Wait until the mixture cools down before pouring it into a tiny container.
